WHAT IS NUTRITION?
Nutrition is about adopting healthy eating patterns for minimising disease and problems of over- or underweight. It includes meal planning, learning how to eat a healthy balanced diet whilst at the same time getting all the right nutrients for the body to cope with daily needs and allow for repair and a good immunity.
WHAT IS CLINICAL NUTRITION?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. A wide range of tools are used to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances in an individual and understand how these may contribute to a range of symptoms and health concerns. A clinical nutritionist's training is focussed less on specific foods you eat and more on the nutritional values they represent, and how the body's tissues use those nutrients, based on scientific knowledge.
